This is truly a “non-dying” plant as named. It grows well even if planted carelessly.A small portion of the plant can give rise to a new plant.The plant has heart shaped leaves, small flowers and blood red fruits. It can be found throughout tropical India.

	Home Remedies:		2 inches of the plant stem should be chewn by diabetics and hypertensives.
			2 inches of the plant stem, fresh or dry when chewed regularly on an empty stomach, increases the immunity in the body
			The juice of the plant or the dry powder should be mixed with ghee and drunk for decreasing inflammation due to arthritis.
			For the pain of gouty arthritis affecting the small joints can be treated with the mixture of juice and castor oil.
			Rheumatic fever and Rheumatic Arthritis affecting children can be helped with the mixture of dried ginger powder and the plant juice.  It is also helpful in jaundice and anemia.
